1 Scope

1.1 This statement explains which cookies and similar technologies (such as local browser storage) Van Riemsdijk & Karman S.L., acting as MyaGuide, uses in MyaGuide Reception: the Guide and Mya for Residents and the Management Environment for staff of the Responsible Organisation.

1.2 This statement supplements the Privacy Statement. The public marketing website of MyaGuide has its own cookie statement; that does not apply to Reception and cannot override the exclusion of tracking for Residents.

2 What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small file that a website places in your browser. Local storage is another way a website can store data in your browser. Your conversation with Mya is stored in neither; it exists only in the memory of the open page until you refresh or close it.

3 What we use

3.1 Pages for Residents (Guide and Mya)

On the pages for Residents, no analytics, marketing, advertising, or tracking cookies are placed, and no session replay or referral and attribution techniques are used. This also applies if you previously gave consent on the marketing website of MyaGuide or arrived via a referral link. Conversation and language choice are not stored in cookies or local storage. Reception does not work with referral partners.

If you visit a Reception page while your browser still contains referral cookies from the marketing website (mya_partner_ref, mya_partner_ref_landing, mya_partner_ref_seen), those will be removed during that visit and not used.

3.2 Infrastructure security

The Service is delivered via Cloudflare. Cloudflare may place a strictly necessary technical cookie for protection against automated abuse (for example __cf_bm, valid for a maximum of 30 minutes). This cookie contains no personal information and is not used for tracking. Abuse prevention in the application itself works server-side with temporary, encrypted keys and does not use cookies.

3.3 Management Environment (staff only)

For staff login, the Management Environment uses a strictly necessary authentication cookie that maintains the logged-in session. This cookie is renewed during use and expires on logout or at the end of the session. Without this cookie, logging in is not possible. No analytics or marketing cookies are used in the Management Environment.

4 Legal basis and consent

4.1 All technologies used are strictly necessary for providing the service you requested or for its security. On that basis, no consent is required under the Telecommunications Act and the ePrivacy rules. Reception therefore does not display a cookie banner.

4.2 If in the future a technology is added for which consent is required, this statement will be amended in advance and consent will be requested before placement. Tracking will remain excluded for the Residents' pages; no consent request will be introduced for that purpose.

5 Managing cookies

You can view and delete cookies via your browser settings. Deleting cookies does not affect the use of the Guide and Mya; staff will then need to log in again. Deleting cookies does not erase an ongoing conversation still open on the page; for that, refresh or close the page.
